British Canoe Union Accredited Courses
This year has seen substantial changes to the BCU's Performance Award Scheme with Paddlepower scheme for under 16'sand the revised Star Award scheme for the over 14's. Both the Beginners and the Improvers courses will cover the skills and techniques relevant to each scheme with appropriate awards being given when the required level is achieved. The aim of this course is to provide an introduction into the sport of canoeing. You will be introduced to practical and theoretical aspects such as: basic strokes, equipment and Safety afloat. Please note that these courses are open to both adults and juniors.
